1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using Tripkin(the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) and able to form a binding contract to use Tripkin.
3. Your account
You sign in with Google. You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Provide accurate information and let us know if you suspect unauthorised use.
4. The Service
Tripkin helps groups plan and take trips together — creating trips, inviting members, generating AI itineraries, tracking shared budgets, and optionally sharing location on a trip map. Features may change, improve, or be discontinued over time.
5. Purchases & credits
- Consumable credits. Tripkin sells one-time trip credits and replacement credits. There is no subscription. A trip credit unlocks generating a full trip itinerary; replacement credits let you swap individual activities for new AI suggestions.
- Free trial. New users get one free trip (limited to a short itinerary). Longer trips require a purchased trip credit.
- Billing. All purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play through our provider, RevenueCat. Tripkin never handles your card or bank details.
- Refunds.Because purchases are delivered through the app stores, refunds are governed by Apple's and Google's policies. Please request refunds through the store you purchased from.
Group expense splitting in the app is a calculation tool to help you settle up between yourselves. Tripkin does not process, hold or transfer money between members.
6. AI-generated content
Itineraries and suggestions are generated by AI and provided for convenience only. They may be inaccurate or out of date. Always verify opening hours, prices, bookings, local laws, travel advisories and safety before you rely on them. You travel at your own discretion and risk.
7. Location & safety
Location sharing and the SOS feature are conveniences for coordinating with your group. They are not emergency services. In an emergency, always contact your local emergency number. Location accuracy and delivery depend on your device, connectivity and permissions.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law or infringe others' rights while using Tripkin;
- upload harmful, abusive, or unlawful content;
- attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service;
- use the Service to harass or track people without their consent.
9. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you add (trip details, expenses, messages). You grant Tripkin a limited licence to store, display and process that content solely to operate the Service for you and your trip members.
10. Third-party services
Tripkin relies on third parties (including Google, Apple, Anthropic, RevenueCat, Mapbox and others) to provide parts of the Service. Their terms and policies also apply to your use of those components.
11. Termination
You may stop using Tripkin and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or use the Service in a way that could harm others or us.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI suggestions will be accurate.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tripkin and its providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the Service, AI suggestions, or location features.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. We'll update the “last updated” date and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
